There is a need to accept English as the national language as the concept of linguistic states has failed. 

I do not accept that view at all. First and foremost a distinction should be made between National and official. English should be the official language and not national. The Indian constitution does not mention any language as a national language. It is a mistaken and commonly taken assumption that Hindi is the national language of India. National is nothing but a symbol representing India. India is home to a multitude of languages so why make either Hindi/ English as the national language when there is no language prescribed as national?

On the other hand with regard to official language of the Indian Union it should and must be in English to meet out fair play and justice to all the states. The current policy of Bi-lingualism is fraught with hazards and is discriminatory non-hindi speaking areas.

State reorganisation should be done in a way that we have manageable administrative zones and not one which promotes linguistic or cultural chauvinism.

In a way English is a official language in many countries. Maybe not approved by low but you’ll find easy some one who speaks English everywhere you go.

I agree but i disagree at the same time. English is fast becoming everyone’s language but it’s bad if other languages won’t be recognize or used anymore because of it.
